Petitions

Why Petitions Matter

Petitions are more than just signatures—they are collective acts of resistance. In times of mass injustice, they offer a clear, public demand for change and a tool to pressure institutions, companies, and governments to end their complicity. Petitions help expose this complicity, mobilize public awareness, and build the pressure needed to disrupt support for war crimes and genocide.

Even if you don’t fully agree with the wording or approach of every petition, right now it’s crucial that Palestine gets attention and that every action counts. At
Plant een Olijfboom there is a updated list of petitions to sign.

Amplify the call

Here is a small selection of key petitions calling for justice, accountability, and an end to complicity in the violence against Palestinians. Each one is a chance to raise your voice, demand action, and show solidarity.ere

Rotterdam facilitates weapons to Israel

Rotterdam is a key hub in the global F-35 supply chain—especially since Spain, France, Belgium and Italy have started blocking Israeli arms shipments. From 2019 to 2024, Maersk sent at least 462 F-35 parts through Rotterdam. See HERE how you can hold the Mayor and Harbour master accountable. And HERE to sign a petition for a complete arms embargo.

Nobel Prize for Dr Aby Safiya

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, a pediatrician and director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, stayed with his patients under life-threatening conditions until he was forced to surrender. He is now held without trial in Israeli prisons, where torture is common. For his courage and commitment to humanity, he has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Doctors for Gaza (Netherlands).

Join us in urging the Nobel Committee to honor his heroism HERE.

stop subsidizing ISrael

Respect for human rights is an essential element of the EU’s association agreements with partner countries. This treaty represents a yearly subsidizing of nearly 10 billion euros of Israeli import because Israel has the same values as Europe. Article 2 states that violation of human rights by Israel allows the EU to terminate the deal under international law. Given the scale of death and suffering in Gaza, the EU not only has the right—but the responsibility—to act. Over 200 civil society organizations are urging the EU to immediately suspend its Association Agreement with Israel due to Israel’s ongoing human rights violations. Stop Training Terror

Fourwinds Policedog Center exports dogs to Israel, where they are used to attack Palestinian civilians. The company settled a case in 2018 after two of its dogs mauled 17-year-old Hamzeh Hashem—an attack filmed as Israeli soldiers urged the dogs on. Since then, videos and testimonies have documented more brutal incidents: a young man with Down syndrome and a unborn child lost their lives, while a 3-year-old toddler in Jenin and an elderly woman dragged from her bed survived attacks during night raids.

Call on the Oss municipality to revoke Fourwinds' permits to train these tools of oppression HERE.

REspect the rule of law

The International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, that is investigating war crimes in Gaza and seeks to arrest Netanyahu, is being threatened, spied on, and blackmailed by Israel. Even the prosecutor was approached by Mossad. It is unacceptable that the Netherlands is no longer safe for ICC staff and witnesses. The ICC must be able to do its work freely and safely without Israeli interference. Urge the Dutch Public Prosecution Service to investigate and prosecute those responsible HERE.

no military cooperation

The genocide and war crimes committed has led UN expert to state “The Israeli army is one of the most criminal in the world”. An despite everything, the Netherlands maintains military ties with Israel, including joint training and knowledge exchange while exact details remain classified. Now, the Netherlands is preparing to sign a defence treaty with Israel, allowing troops from both countries on each other’s soil and paving the way for deeper cooperation—even as Israel continues its assault on Gaza. Sign HERE to demand the military treaty with Israel be annulled.

Humanitarian Aid Is Not a Crime

Marco van Rennes, a Dutch civilian and crew member of the Freedom Flotilla, has been kidnapped by the Israeli military in international waters. The Freedom Flotilla is a peaceful international mission delivering urgent humanitarian aid—like baby formula and medical supplies—to Gaza by sea. Marco was aboard an unarmed vessel, operating fully within international maritime and humanitarian law. He posed no threat. This is an attack on civilians and international law and the Dutch government must protect its own. See HERE or HERE what you can do.
